Caracas Airport "Oscar Machado Zuloaga" is a private airport located in the city of Charallave, Miranda state, Venezuela, serving mainly the metropolitan area of Caracas. It has a 2 km long runway, and also has numerous OMA's and companies that work in the aeronautical world.
It has been for many years the main base for Venezuelan private aviation, a position that has been reinforced after the closing of the unofficial operations at the Francisco de Miranda base, SVFM.
It was built after one of the largest earth movements in the history of Venezuelan engineering, in which the hill was truncated, giving it the characteristic shape of a plateau.
