Vara de María Airport is a Venezuelan air terminal located in the Páez municipality of Apure state, just 25 kilometers from the city of Arauca. It has a single runway 2070 meters long, 30 meters wide and only receives or dispatches daytime flights. It was remodeled in 2013 and the state airline Conviasa is studying the possibility of opening routes to San Fernando de Apure and Barinas. It has boarding and disembarkation areas, formerly operated by Avior Airlines in the nineties. The airport had daily flights of PDVSA personnel,
The airport has no instrument landing system (ILS, Instrument Landing System) but has a radio beacon or non-directional beacon (NDB) acronym GTO that is part of the Venezuelan navigation aids system.
