Santa Elena de Uairén International Airport (IATA: SNV, ICAO: SVSE) is the third most important airport in the state of Bolívar in Venezuela and is located in Santa Elena de Uairén, in the heart of the Gran Sabana municipality, serving Santa Elena de Uairén, Pacaraima (Brazil) and the indigenous and mining communities in the area. It handles a monthly average of 1,100 people (12,180 annually) on regional commercial and tourist flights. It has basic commercial services such as a bank, restaurant, communications center, souvenir sales, and receives flights from Ciudad Guayana, Canaima, Ciudad Bolivar and Caracas. It was reopened on April 29, 2009.
The largest commercial aircraft that can operate at this Category Three airport is the Boeing 727-200 or more modern models suitable for the flow of passengers, such as the Bombardier CRJ700.
