Manuel Piar International Airport (IATA: PZO, OACI: SVPR) is the sixth most important airport in Venezuela and the main air terminal in the south of the country.
It is located in the Caroní municipality of the State of Bolívar, serving Ciudad Guayana and handling a daily average of 2,750 people (1,000,000 annually) on 18 commercial flights. It currently operates six of the main Venezuelan airlines and four air cab companies. It recently obtained the International Certification granted by the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC), which certified the air terminal as the first and only one qualified in the country to operate international flights on a permanent basis.
Its airport serves
as a link between smaller airports in the jungle area of Bolivar State and the
rest of the country.
