Antonio Nicolás Briceño International Airport (IATA: VLV, ICAO: SVVL) is the main air terminal of Trujillo State in the Venezuelan Andes, located on a plateau on the outskirts of Valera, the main city of Trujillo State.
In 2014, it announced improvements and remodeling of the airport, such as the construction of fuel storage tanks, the acquisition of two tanker trucks to distribute fuel, the installation of the PAPI 4 system on runway 21, as well as the improvement of the night beaconing system, which has been in operation since 2005 and which was completed.
In 2016, the airport was upgraded from a domestic airport to an international airport.
