SVCJ – “Ezequiel Zamora” National Airport

Ezequiel Zamora National Airport (ICAO: SVCJ) is an airport located in the city of San Carlos, being the most important airport in the State of Cojedes (Venezuela).
It has recently undergone several notable remodeling works, including the adaptation of the runway to receive aircraft such as the McDonnell Douglas DC-9, Boeing 737, Airbus A319, among others. It was also perimetrically fenced and a control tower was built with all Venezuelan aviation standards.
It currently has a 2,000 m x 30 m runway. Runway length does not include a 300-metre (980 ft) displaced threshold on Runway 15. It has little air traffic, only some private and military flights. It has a control tower, runway lighting and surveillance by the National Guard.
