SVCP – General José Francisco Bermúdez Airport
X-Plane 11
General José Francisco Bermúdez Airport (IATA: CUP, ICAO: SVCP) is a small airport located in the city of Carúpano, Venezuela. It has more than 70 years of aeronautical history. It is said that initially it was a land devoid of paved runway where aircraft had facilities to land because, in relation to the topography of the area, it was a "flat" terrain. Later, with the interest of airlines such as Avensa, a small runway of 1,300 meters was initially laid out and another small space of 700 meters was cleared that could be used if necessary.
Later, this 700-meter space was disabled and the main runway was paved, taking it to 2000 meters and 40 meters wide, thus establishing the General Jose Francisco Bermudez National Airport with a small terminal that at the time satisfied the needs of the users.
