SVTC – Tucupita Airport

Tucupita Airport, or San Rafael Airport (IATA: TUV, ICAO: SVTC), (alternatively Tucupita Aerodrome) is an infrastructure located about 4 kilometers from the city of Tucupita, the capital of Delta Amacuro state in Venezuelan Guyana.
In 2013 it was approved to carry out improvement and modernization works that elevated the category of the space from Aerodrome to National Airport. It is one of the two airports in the state, the other being Pedernales Airport in the town of the same name.
In a first phase, works were carried out for the perimeter fence, pothole patching, resurfacing of the runway and deforestation for the installation of the VOR system.
